In order to further increase employees' safety awareness and earnestly do a good job in the hotel's safe operation, the Manhattan Hotel in the North Sea has conducted a full-service fire drill inspection and safety inspection before the Spring Festival in January and February.
On January 5, 2018, the hotel organized all the staff to participate in the fire drill. In this exercise, warm reminders have been given to the guests in the hotel lobby, business premises and hotel rooms four days in advance. The day of the drill was divided into two phases: emergency evacuation and firefighting and self-rescue. In order to achieve actual combat effectiveness, some employees were disguised as distracting guests in guest rooms, restaurants, and lobbies. When the hotel sounded alarms and evacuated broadcasts rang, the waiters quickly organized themselves in rooms and restaurants. The guests evacuated to safe areas on the evacuation route; hotel security personnel quickly rushed to the fire source point in a matter of minutes, using fire tools to complete the initial fire extinguishing; pick up important items to escape from the fire exits in an orderly manner. Before and after the drills were consecutively connected. They did not cause confusion to the guests. They successfully evacuated all employees and achieved the desired results.
Following the fire drill, in order to further strengthen safety operations management and prevent safety accidents, a joint inspection team composed of security, engineering, and personnel departments conducted three safety inspections throughout the entire store from the end of January to the beginning of February. During the inspection process, fire-fighting equipment and facilities, the use of power lines, and environmental sanitation were examined for various fire exits, office spaces, staff canteens, kitchens, restaurants, floors, and KTVs. Through inspections, 5 illegally used electrical appliances were found in the staff quarters and 8 hidden dangers were not met. After the inspection team put forward the deadline for rectification, the responsible persons of various departments went to the scene to carry out rectification, to ensure that every hidden danger checked out was implemented and rectified in place.
Through this large-scale fire drill and pre-holiday safety joint inspection, all departments are urged to further standardize safety management, enhance employees' safety awareness, and ensure that responsibilities are in place to ensure that the hotel can provide safe and comfortable accommodation for guests.
